Celebrating 35 SWENsational years

Swensens Celebrate 35 Years Anniversary: Flash This Voucher For $35 Off $70 Spend In Restaurant On Weekdays

Credits to JY for informing this great deal in the month of Feb-Mar 2014. Basically we have to spend $70 (before service charge and GST in a single receipt) in order for this voucher to be considered valid.

$70 before ++ is not a problem for us, we THOUGHT. Arranged for this bulky meal on a Friday night!

-Voucher is valid on weekdays till 31 March 2014 (i'm so sorry the offer is OVER by the time I blog)
-Valid for dine-in and a la carte items only

Starting with appetizer:
Hot U.S. Fries & Dips $6
This traditional peeled cut fries made from 100% Idaho potatoes is a Swensen's trademark

I have absolutely no idea how did Swensen's special coating ensured the fries to maintain its crisp texture throughout! Their fries remained crispy and maintained its natural potato flavour, bite after bite. Am loving their sauces btw!!!

You know those fries turned soggy after sometime especially in an air-conditioned environment? Please divert your fries cravings to Swensen's instead lol

 Super Sodas (Chocolate) $6.50

JY's choice :P

 Milo Dinosaur Float $6.50
Iced Milo topped with a creamy scoop of Milo Ice cream and Milo powder

Deal with it, my choice of drink is better than JY's Super sodas hahaha

Crispy Cornflake Chicken $15.50
Tender succulent and moist boneless chicken generously coated with crispy golden cornflakes for that extra crunch in every bite

 Swensen's Surf & Turf $17.90
A thick and juicy beef patty oozing with heavenly melted cheese, paired with whole king prawns and crispy onion rings

Illustrating the beef patty with melted cheese

Sighpie, I have to admit that JY's choice of main course (that crispy chicken) is better than mine! I thought of trying beef for the 2nd time and realised beef is really not my type. I LOVE CHICKEN I CANT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE IT...

Oh & if you're considering the Surf & Turf, bear in mind that there is chilli sauce poured over the king prawns! Damn, they COULD have informed me about that chilli sauce. I hate this part the most... Please be considerate to guests who have special preferences, not everybody looooooves chilli.

Chocolate Fondue $22.90
With 5 Ice cream flavours (Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Thin Mint, Mocha Almond Fudge, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream). Maraschino cherries, fresh strawberries and bananas, marshmallow cubes, chocolate profiteroles, fan wafers and diced almonds

Never say no to desserts even if you are 95% full! We had to order the most expensive item from the dessert menu in order to hit that minimum requirement for that voucher (just an excuse actually...) so I requested for this chocolate fondue! No regrets man, look at the marshmallow, chocolate eclairs-like, banana and strawberry.

Especially... BANANAS. My all-time favourite flavours are: Chocolate Banana and Nutella. Nobody will ever ever ever dislike Nutella.

Didn't had the (extra) time to snap pictures of dipping bananas + strawberry as both of us were busy munching away~

I can't remember the exact price for this meal after discount (he stole the receipt from me) but it should be roughly $45 for two? It's definitely worth it with that voucher for just $20ish for a bulky meal!

Say hi to my additional 2kg of fats ^^
