(Late post)
I swear I wanted to publish this particular post few days back, but I was exhausted to even upload the pictures... seriously. Work simply drains our energy even if we have sufficient sleep
Had our yummy lunch @ Three Wombats Cafe! This cafe is located at around Balestier Road.
18 Kim Keat Road
Singapore 328846
We took bus 145 from Toa Payoh Interchange!
Chanced upon this groupon deal together with JY, it is a 3-course western set menu @ $25 for 2 pax. I think we are the 省钱王 couple HAHAHAHA! The 3 course menu includes: Soup of the day, Main course and Drink.
The entrance
It is a small-scale cafe that seats up to max ~20 pax? So do make your reservation if you're planning to head down!
Excited Botakguy
Ice Lemon Tea.
I've decided to put a stop to soda drink. No more coke, pepsi, 7up, fanta etc. Time to get used to it although I'm not a fan of tea :(
Chicken Soup (worth $3.90)
I know the soup looks very diluted but trust me it's NOT. Onion, tomato and chicken are all hidden inside. Of course I still prefer my all-time favourite mushroom soup!
Baked Seafood Pasta (worth $13.90)
Cheesy baked pasta with clams, calamari and prawns in tomato sauce
JY ordered this & I managed to try the fresh prawns! (Y) Awesome~
Finding Nemo (worth $11.90)
Golden brown deep fried breaded fish fillet served with special Wombat's sauce
The potato wedges are beneath the fish fillet. This is the best potato wedges I've ever tasted! It is extremely crispy on the outside and extremely soft on the inside. Sorry for using the word 'extremely' twice, because I'm addicted to threewombatscafe's potato wedges! I had a hard time eating the fillet because I can't use my fork at all. Again, i'm going to describe it as crispy skin & soft meat.
I can't stand it anymore, the more I try to recap how Finding Nemo tastes like, the more I feel like grabbing my friends back there for more! Am definitely going to stick with my Finding Nemo the next time.
Lastly, I would like to emphasize the portion served is relatively huge for a person, which means at least a 80% full for their main course. I realised they are very generous in the portions, even JY's pasta is the same. As for their service, the staff are very friendly! Our main courses are served piping hot (JY almost got scalded from his plate) and 1 of the staffs actually recommend the more popular dishes according to other customers. Thank you :)
Loving this blurry shot, but my face looks huge :\
Watch out for this signboard ^^
Just like what their slogan says, "Come Hungry, Leave Happy". Both of us left the cafe happily, holding hands together to shop for our Christmas gift with a hefty tummy!
