The Dispensary

Finally had the chance of entering 'The Dispensary' with JY. 

This cafe is located right beside Sin Hai Shan (those who resides around Tiong Bahru will know this seafood restaurant). Well not EXACTLY beside but you'll definitely spot The Dispensary if you are at Sin Hai Shan. Not only that, whenever I take bus back home from Great world city direction, I could only stare at this cafe because I can't find a partner to go with! T.T

What makes it worse: A actually posted their Chocolate Banana cake on instagram. MAD DIE CRAVING FOR IT!!!

They have the "Chinese Medical Hall" concept, vintage concept. No GST involved, you pay for the exact amount as stated in their Menu

I really like how spacious their dining area is. I merely snapped a corner of it, this isn't the concluding space. P.S. they have 2nd storey as well! Oh my~ great venue for party!

P.S.S. I was freezing despite having my hot beverage. Luckily they left their remote control on the wall so it saved my life. (k exaggerate too much but it's really cold although the temperature is 25°C)

Self-service Ice & Warm water!

Major PLUS POINT FOR THIS STATION. I've spotted self-service Ice Water BUT none of them provides hot (warm) water! Apparently you are supposed to dispose your used cups in that basin. Almost mistaken it as a real basin whereby I can pour my unfinished water x_x

I'm not trying to say that cafe without self-service water station is cheap/lousy/poor. For people like me (I'm "水桶" a.k.a somebody who spam plain water like mad), it can really be annoying if we request for more water more water more water please. I understand how bothersome it is for a server to refill a free-of-charge beverage even if it's tap water. Which is why I absolutely adore self-service water station :D

The Carrot Cake ($6)

old-fashion carrot cake is stuffed to the brim with carrots and walnuts. Smothered in rich cream cheese, delightful rich and moist

The Chocolate Banana ($6)

Layers of Valrhona chocolate cake, interwhined with fresh banana slices and infused chocolate cream cheese

Very crunchy chocolate balls!!

& not forgetting my Hot Chocolate drink ($4.50)

Needless to say, my readers should know which cake belongs to yours truly. Comparing their cake with Awfully Chocolate (AC), if you're someone who prefers rich dark chocolate, AC should be the wiser choice. However if you prefer more of cream cheese filling then The Dispensary's Chocolate Banana is the right one. 

In terms of quality, I am really in love with The Dispensary's Chocolate Banana cake! No bombastic words to describe it, only 1 word: DELICIOUS because Chocolate can never go wrong with Banana. I don't mind having this for my Birthday cake! My current obsession after I've gotten over the "Red-velvet-obsession" period.

In terms of $$$, I think it's a tad pricey. 1 slice is pretty small-scale as you can see from my amateur artistic shot. I may visit them again for the same cake if I manage to strike lottery or have some extra cash on hand.

This marks the last post for 2013, see you guys next year. Many has blogged about their New Year resolutions, I ain't gonna do that. 

Frankly speaking, I'm not ready for 2014 yet. I dread seeing 2014 on my calendar. It's gonna be a freaking fuck-up year.

Sometimes I wish I am an engineering person or literature kind. I don't know what I want, I only know business is probably the right choice, yet my score CMI. All I can do is to pray hopelessly for the rest to score lower than my GPA. Obviously I know miracle isn't going to happen like that. Only hard work pays off, not praying hard.

I have a wish for the upcoming New year instead of resolution. Just. one. wish.

To be accepted by my desired local University and to know what I exactly want to do in future.
