Why can't we have 15 days of holiday for Lunar New Year?

 Lunar New Year 2014 is pretty... marvelous yet horrifying, to yours truly. Especially New year eve. Should I be glad that you're here or should I be displeased that you actually came at the wrong timing?

There's a phrase called "Every cloud has a silver lining". Under any circumstances, I can derive some benefit from every bad thing that occurs. For instance, that silver lining refers to Ang pow... hahaha.

I'm tired, there's work tomorrow T.T Anyway I am 10kg lighter. Why? BECAUSE I FINALLY SETTLED MY UNIVERSITY APPLICATION STUFF!!! 95% done! Only left with some online (shit) appraisal forms and submission of documents by hand. 

Next up, I'll be dreading over which course to choose :(

23rd Dec: (work) Manager handed over this strawberry cupcake as a Christmas token.

That's... so heartwarming. I barely know him for a week, this may seem insignificant to the rest but I'm touched by this light gesture. Thank you Mr Lim! To express my appreciation, I devoured the cupcake even though my lunch time is over. :P

Coincidence or what?! Initially 3 of us planned to meet up on Sunday, but it was a little too impromptu because none of us actually discussed about this mini pre-enlistment outing for A. Felt dejected after realising it's impossible to meet up on Sunday, yet... a miracle happened.

Hello A,

By the time this post is published, you should be getting ready for your 1st day of enlistment. Absolutely love the message you left for us @ your instagram account, thank you for being the thoughtful brother I've known since 2010. Those misunderstandings are kinda hilarious, it's good. At least when we think back of all those memories few years down the road, we'll definitely find it laughable. This ain't going to be a formal post filled with "thanks", I just wanna let you know that we'll keep this friendship and nothing will ever change, together with YY. We are those who don't require meet-ups often! Grateful for your existence all these while when I am going through a tough year. Don't give up on your studies, continue to seek for knowledge, because knowledge is power :) See you soon!

IBM InterConnect 2013 (post)

Greetings Earthlings! Am loving tonight's atmosphere because it's Thursday night! According to humans' emotions based on the 5 weekdays, Thursday night + Friday is the best!

If you're unemployed or school holidays, I bet this emotional expressions aren't meant for you because everyday is just like FRIDAY. Filled with enviousness okay? Well you can say I can be unemployed if I want to, but I'm trying my best to find tons of temporary jobs. Why? Kill time & earning kaching ($$) for my upcoming BKK trip! This is going to my very first experience taking a plane with my boyfriend! (I had enough of COACH RIDES okay) JY is looking forward to this trip damn badly because it means he'll POP very soon! Whenever I see my group of friends who POP-ed last week, a part of me kept on thinking "how good would it be if my boy POP at the same time as them". HAHAHA OK LA I WONT POUR SALT ONTO YOUR WOUND LAH!

 How's life? S-A-M-E. I'm getting bored of everything that is happening till I feel like staying at home the entire day (plus some exercising plan). Seriously, ever since I started working, I can no longer find a suitable day for swimming/gymming! By the time I get back home it's already past 6pm and I AM TOO TIRED TO EXERCISE. Weekends are no-no for me because it's forever crowded + supposed to be a DATING DAY. Life's just so.... dissatisfying.

Anyhow, I was working as an Event helper for IBM Interconnect 2013 held @ Marina bay sands. Made awesome friends! I LIKEY (Y)

Quick update (post-intern)

Hi, back from update because I can't really find anything else to share on my blog. So the most commonly asked question after my Internship ended: 

"Are you going back to your school after Intern?" 

Honestly i'm sick & tired of answering this question AGAIN & AGAIN. When I first started my internship, I have already answered this QUESTION. Everybody's asking me which year I am right now, I told them I defer a semester, so after this I have graduated (unofficially though). URGH

"Why you don't want to continue working with SavillsCKH?"

Honestly throughout the entire 5 months, all I can think of is to LEAVE this company as far as possible. I have no intentions of extending my contract with them after seeing how they treat me like a ball, roving assignment here & there when other employees are on leave. I mean, I detest this feeling of being kicked around. I have just stabilized my work over HERE, and the next moment I got allocated to somewhere ULU. If it's nearer to my house I dont mind la. Sigh whatever it's over, forget it, i'm not a petty person. I know HR has no other options but to maximize usage of cheap labour a.k.a. INTERNEES PAID @ $500/MONTH. 

"So what are you doing right now?"

ROT AT HOME. NUA UNTIL I DIE. NAH JUST KIDDING. Yes I'm currently rotting my life away. I didn't realise life is sooo boring without work. Time passes too slow & I'm constantly whining for $$. No i'm not a spoilt brat, i'm in the midst of finding temporary jobs/event jobs. Currently waiting for certain event jobs to start at a later date. I'm also looking for temporary admin/data-entry jobs. My typing skills are fast, accurate and superb. Please don't doubt my typing skills HAHAHA. Tuesday: made a trip down to Fortune Centre to visit my beloved colleagues! I miss them SO MUCH I SWEAR. Had lunch @ bugis+ followed by ice-cream treat by J :D Everything changed. I miss visiting old workplace. I love to feel that time passed in a blink of an eye. IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IN WORDS. You get what I mean anyway.

Thursday: Finally build up my courage to swim alone! Yes I'm so proud of myself because I step out of my comfort zone + swimming without friends is actually MORE effective. Why? Nobody to talk to, you can only think of completing 1 lap. Initially it was really awkward for me because there ISNT any women swimming in the competition pool. Dang, everybody else are... guyz. I set a target of swimming at least 5 laps before I leave, end up I continued to swim till 10 laps! *pats on shoulder* 10 laps may be nothing for some of you but it's a huge improvement for me! The maximum laps I can swim (with my friends) are 3-4 laps. Seriously. I took >5 minutes between HALF a lap ok. Damn slack, feels like I'm playing with water instead. Mission accomplished & I look forward to swimming alone again next week! (Y)

I also shopped alone @ PS after running some errands. Feels so great to shop alone. Life isn't that bad afterall... (excluding the part whereby I have to maintain my figure & adjust my diet)

I love to visit qoo10.sg frequently (that describes why I'm upgraded to VIP member of Gmarket :P) so I ordered this high waist skirt in mustard for S$8.90 only! 

The quality is there (in terms of sheerness) but the material... is not as firm as those you see in Bugis street. As you can see from the 1st picture, it's crumbled uh. So when I wear it to my waist level, the lines of the skirt is in a mess! What to expect since it's so cheap. May consider stocking up different colours HAHAHA

HAHA, love it when people mention this to me. They are constantly reminding me that they WANT to read more from my blog! Honestly speaking, when I went back to blogging (public) again, I had no intention of showing my emotional side because there's... absolutely no privacy. People's gonna judge & find fault, what's the point. In the past I used to blog ALL my emotions because this really made me feel better, but at the same time I'm afraid of being judged. After looking at how confident Xiaxue is, I think I should just blog shamelessly about how I feel because afterall, it's MY personal space. *pats on shoulder* :D

I'm having a bittersweet relationship with September, because my boy is enlisting on 10 Sept, and my awaited Internship is ending on 13 Sept. What to do. That FREAKING 3 days. I have thousand reasons to blame my Internship + myself. Still remember JY & I quarreled about September stuff and he said: "have you ever thought if you didn't defer your internship, we could have traveled overseas together and have ample time together instead of struggling like now?" 

Initially I was truly offended by his words and even blamed him more. Now, I realised what he says is right. Blame it on myself... :'(

Organised a mini chalet for his enlistment this weekend @ Pasir Ris! (JY, stop spelling Pasir Ris is Paris)

Was rushing like mad on Friday night (after my work), we managed to check in @ 7.30pm :'( Kinda waste because half day was already gone. Went grocery shopping with JY straight for our BBQ day on Saturday! Honestly we were too kiasu & overbought :\ But it's okay because my fridge is filled with all the leftover foods HAHAHA YAY TO SNACKS. 

Midnight bowling after everything! HAHA I am new to nEbo club so I got 2 games free :D

We're seriously damn noob. We don't even know how to change our name. Basically this screen is good for nothing.

I'm Player 1 & JY's Player 2. HEHE I GOT BETTER SCORE IN THE END! But JY got beginner's luck by striking once!

E brought her kite along so this was my very first time flying kite, it is challenging and enjoyable! I look extremely tanned on that day! Loving the sun yet I wanna protect my face so here's my umbrella! Key point: FACE. I dont mind having sunburn on my body but NO-NO to my face. It just sucks.
