Review: Essential Sleeping Hair Mask

Bad hair day...?

Apart from our facial appearance, our hairstyle is the next essential part that must be taken good care of. Way before I was introduced to Sleeping Hair mask, I always assumed that bad hair days were based on my luck everyday before waking up LOL. Yes it sounds extremely dumb.

Pillow damage causes YOUR bad hair day.

According to wikihow on tips to avoid damaging your hair,
  • Braid your hair loosely before bed and finish with a scrunchie to avoid it rubbing against the pillow and getting friction damage
  • Use satin pillow cases to further cut down on damage during sleep
& many more but I'm focusing on pillow friction only!

Trust me it's too tiresome to follow these 2 steps quoted from wikihow - I did rebonding few months ago and I wouldn't want to braid it!!!! Secondly, my mum takes care of my bed "affairs" so I won't shop for a satin pillow case. Enough said.

This simply sums up the definition of pillow damage.

As we sleep, tossing and turning causes hair to rub against the pillow, creating friction and this causes the hair cuticles to open up unevenly, causing hair to be rough, frizzy or prone to tangles. As a result of pillow damage, we wake up the next day with frizzy, unmanageable hair like this:

Most people resort by washing their hair early in the morning to get rid of the unmanageable hair, as washing hair 'resets' the uneven alignment of hair cuticles and makes hair smooth and manageable again. However, my beauty sleep needs to be sacrificed :'(

NO, I'd rather sleep more.

What other solutions are there for lazy people like me?
A sleeping hair mask!

Non-greasy and invisibly light, this treatment milk is perfect for night use. It intensively repairs and protects hair from 'pillow damage' while you sleep, keeping your tresses beautifully soft and healthy.
This 100 ml bottle saves your additional 1 hour of beauty sleep!

Took this picture after showering, air-dry instead of blow dry.

Close up view of my frizzy ends

My main problem would still be Frizz as I'm not born with healthy hair.

(Spot lumpy!!!)

This treatment milk serves as a leave-on sleeping mask, it absorbs instantly when applied and no traces left on your pillow!

After applying the treatment milk

There are still visible frizzy ends but I don't expect it to be a magic product. I believe constant care is required before the visible end result. However I can feel that my hair is smoother after applying and no comb is required to ensure there isn't any tangles.

Taken immediately after my alarm rang HAHA

Yes it seems like it got worse compared to the previous pictures BUT do bear in mind that if I didn't apply this sleeping mask, it would be worst than this. Sorry for the lack of pictures here but the frizziness has improved somehow. Well, no beauty sleep sacrifices are required :P

Leave-on Hair Serum

Concentrated yet non-sticky, the hair serum instantly gives hair a healthy gloss and forms a protective veil over it. For damaged hair that needs an instant boost of shine and smoothness. Yes I DID THIS HAIR SERUM BADLY. Simply apply this before you head out or as a mid-day pick-me-up!

Remember, with your hair protected overnight constantly and damage repaired, you will wake up to stronger, healthier hair than before!
