Atypical Products

Since I've no outstanding post, all I can think of is to share the products I'm currently using. Instead of those common steps for skincare: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize... I'll be sharing with you some of the atypical ones.

Peppermint Reviving Foot Soak from THE BODY SHOP

Basically this product helps to refresh & cleanse your tired feet. Just pour the powder into lukewarm water, mix it well & soak your feet for ~15 minutes. Optional: use a leg scrubber to peel your dead skin.

Report on Foot Bath:
"When the feet are in hot water, the blood which is congesting distant parts of the body is brought to the dilated vessels in the feet & legs. Congestion of the brain, lungs, abdominal & pelvic organs can be relieved in this manner. Hot foot baths increase blood flow through the feet & entire skin surface, relieving congestion in internal organs and brain. This type of bath also elevates the body temperature, relaxing tense muscles & increasing white blood cell activity."

In conclusion, Hot foot baths help in blood circulation for healthier body. My mum told me the chinese physician advised her to soak her feet in lukewarm water during evening time or after an exhausting day. I bought this mini package during TBS mega sale, can't remember the price though. After a month of trying, I realised the skin around my feet has somewhat improved, no more dangling dead skin for my itchy hand to peel off! Am going to purchase more from TBS once I've completed these 2!

Bling nail skin sticker from http://qoo10.sg

This nail art is solely for vain purposes/lazy to apply nail polish/hoping for gorgeous nails yet don't wish to spend money @ nail art salon. Just match the sticker onto your nails, stick it to cover nail plates without touching skin (no air bubbles), fold the overhanging part and file to remove the excess. Last but not least don't forget to apply topcoat to entire nail surface for extra shine and secure the sticker.

I've tried applying it (the steps seem so easy), and honestly I got so pissed off because I bought this at ~$6! I really want to throw this away because the size of the stickers doesnt match my fat nails at all! I even have to trim the sides instead of the overhanging part at the tip of my nail! Sibei dulan (Annoying max)

This is the end product of my nail decal, as you can see, it's not perfect. Yet I'm so in love with it because my friends have never failed to notice my nail art & they complimented it! I'm not trying to be ironic here, I'm really annoyed with this BUT my dearest boyfriend saw how upset I was, he volunteered to cut the stickers for me :) Sweet right. hahaha & FYI, it's not easy to file the excess trust me. Those who tried nail art stickers will understand this part!

Report on Nail polish:
"The ingredients used to make this cosmetic product are very toxic in nature. When you inhale them, you get into the trap of many health problems. Exposure to Formaldehyde (dangerous ingredients) can cause irritation to the skin, eyes, nose & throat. When wearing nail polishes that contain dangerous ingredients, they will be absorbed through the nail bed, increasing your risk of side effects.
Nails require oxygen to remain healthy. Nail polishes are one of the most common offenders, causing nail discolouration & other symptoms of poor nail healthy."

Since there are many dangerous ingredients in Nail polish, why not opt for nail art sticker if you're hardcore of vanity? :P Just be prepared to adjust the size of the sticker in an annoying way. Oh, I use a nail buffer from TBS! It helps to keep my nails healthy & have that extra shine without having to apply any nail polish!

Hand therapy lotion from Crabtree & Evelyn

Hand lotion are extremely important if you want to have soft, smooth & wrinkle-free hands. Anybody working in an office-environment should use this. The chill in the air can leave your hands feeling dry. Regular application of hand cream can have enormous health benefits. It can also sooth your skin & repair it.

Skin facts:
"Our bodies absorb around 60% of what we put on our skin through the process of bioaccumulation. With fewer oil glands than other parts of the body, our hands can easily become dry & sore."

Personally I only apply hand cream before I sleep because I dislike that sticky feeling on my hands when I need my hands to do something (use phone, computer, eating, flip papers etc). Hand therapy lotion is a must for women! You don't wanna hold a guy's hand with your rough & wrinkled hands right?

Hair essence Anti-frizz Serum from Essential damage-care

This is a MUST if you are a swimmer like me. I was introduced to this product by my friend. She was applying this hair essence after bathing. Apply it when your hair is wet (leave on, so there's no need to rinse). It helps to reduce hair frizziness and tangling hair. It states to apply from mid-length to tip, concentrating on damages areas.

I bought this bottle from Watsons @ $10. Argh, during Watsons' member sale, the price dropped to ~$7!!! Heart pain x100. The only downside is that the bottle contains 60ml of the serum, insufficient to last for >6 months! I'm only resorting to this anti-frizz serum when i'm REALLY having a bad hair day.

Protective restoring mask from THE BODY SHOP

Bought this on sale together with friends. This product is meant for sensitive skin, I chose this because when I use certain products on my face, i'll experience redness and itchiness. They recommended me to this restoring mask! It is for intensive treatment with prebiotics to strengthen skin's natural barrier.

I've been reading tons of advice related to MASK. Some says it is best to use mask/sheet mask everyday, some says it isn't necessary to apply it everyday, probably 3-4 times a week. I'm currently using this mask AND sheet mask! For alternate days (or whenever I feel my skin is dry), i'll be using sheet mask after exfoliating & toner. I use this protective restoring mask everyday~ Just leave it on for 10-15 minutes & rinse off!

  Eye lotion bath from OPTREX

As I'm a fan of clicknetwork.tv, I love "Tried & tested" the most! It is hosted by Su Ann, she will try every products and rate the effectiveness. I was introduced to this Eye lotion bath (since it cost ~$5 only for small bottle) and I fell in love with the result! Some of you may know my eye always turn red whenever I use contact lenses. Ever since I started using this lotion, OMG I don't have any eye irritation anymore even when I'm using lenses! I'M NOT BLUFFING. (Y) Strongly recommend this product to those who have sore eyes/eye irritation like mine!

For those who faces the computer/tv 24hours a day (ok i exaggerated HAHA), PLEASE. Take care of your eyes! They need a rest!

Last but not least, LIP BALMS!

The Rosebud Salve can be used as an all purpose skin preparation (not just for lips!). It aids in the relief of chapped skin, diaper rash, blemishes, detergent burns and rough cuticles, and it softens rough hands. I remember I talked about this product in one of my skincare routine. This can be bought from Sephora ~$14? It is worth it la because after applying on your lips, you can rub the excess onto your hands! Pretty amazing! For those who knew me long enough, you'll know that I dread having chapped lips... Back in secondary school days, I've been drinking plenty of water YET my lips are in the worst condition that I can ever imagine... Right now, I have no problem with dried lips! Thanks to my sister's recommendation! (Y)

The Lip Ice (sample size) is good for glowing lips or whenever I feel my lips need some love. You can redeem your lip ice sample from their facebook page! I'll always place this sample product in my bag so whenever I need it, just apply it onto my lips!

The EOS lip balm is placed together with my makeup products. Before I apply anything on my face (even before suncreen/face primer), I'll use EOS lip balm to moisturize my lips! This is also an effective way to prepare before applying of lipstick, in my opinion though. I bought this at gmarket for ~$5 only! The packaging is so cute and easy to spot!

Well, what other atypical stuff do I play....?

Thanks to my secondary classmates who sent me this full PC version! I'm still in love with this~ :P

Ok, I'm having fever right now & JY is forcing me to sleep :( I hope my fever will shoo before tomorrow! Because it's our 23rd month! :D Thank you for reading! xx
