Everybody-deserve-a-rest Day! + Skincare Products

Happy Labour Day to all! Finally revealed my deferment of internship to my colleagues, thinking that they will be judging me cause i've wasted 1 year of life just to change to facilities management. However, I was wrong. The CM actually said Hotel mgt is not that good actually. HAHAHA QUITE TRUE, due to the environment as well as the shift work. It really sucks compared to office life. I know there's pros and cons to it, but if you wanna get to spend more time with your beloved ones (unless they are in hospitality line), you should NOT work in hotel/F&B line. I'm not discriminating any hoteliers, cause I know if you have a strong passion in servicing, I encourage you to fight for your dreams! :D

Anyhow, my life has no special events for me to blog about due to the mundane internship period. So I decided to share with you guys about the skincare products I have been using. Just in case some girls are contemplating between a certain product, maybe this post is for you! P.S. I give my honest opinions, these aren't sponsored. Yeah, when the product isn't sponsored, there's no valid reason to lie.

(Actually... I used to blog about Skincare products on my personal blog, so i'll just paste & modify certain parts!)

**********************************

Read a lot of makeup tutorials, routine, products as well as skincare ones on blogs. This time round, it shall be my turn to introduce skincare/body products to my avid readers.

Not bragging here but i've been receiving compliments about my complexion. Be it friends, relatives, colleagues etc. I'm not implying that my complexion is perfect, in fact I feel that it has room for improvement, and i'm trying my best to be flawless (seems impossible...)

The answer that I always tell others: I love tomatoes, I dont eat chilli at all.

That's true. This is the first point I always believe in. However my sister claimed that only the fruit tomato can give you flawless complexion, ketchup/tomato sauce is not included. I dont think so, as long as it's made from tomato, it will definitely help you to improve your skin condition (rate varies).

Secondly, I dont use facial wash at all. I can proudly say I only use facial wash for less than 5 times throughout my life. Why? Because i'm lazy. I always wash my face with cold tap water. That's it. Anyway, I heard that if you start using facial wash, yes your complexion will improve but you CANNOT stop using it. Which means your face is relying on it, so if you turn lazy and skip facial wash step, your pimples will grow immediately when you least expected it. This is true. Part of my "less-than-5-times", MY PIMPLE SERIOUSLY GROW LIKE MAD. Not acne, but I was so upset that I spammed it with Oxy10. I swore not to use any facial wash anymore. (P.S. This was my puberty period)

After that, I realised I AM NOT YOUNG ANYMORE. I must use facial wash/cleanser etc in order to maintain my complexion. So yeah, if you're young and did NOT touch any of these skincare products (means you're just washing your face with tap water), please continue to do that because the moment you start using, GG. You have to depend on them forever~ Frankly speaking I kind of regretted it but well. EVERY WOMEN IS VAIN.

Daily Cleanser

I just realised I took the wrong picture of my cleanser. The one i'm using right now is meant for "Normal to oily skin", but this product here is another cleanser specially for oily skin. (I thought they are the same) Honestly I dont know if cleanser has the same effect as facial wash, but I believe if I stop using cleanser my complexion will stay the same. (I tried skipping this step for a few days)

I use this in the morning & at night.
Price: NIL
If i wrote NIL, It doesnt mean it's free of charge. Because my sister is willing to share with me, so she'll purchase all the products while we use. HAHAHA

Toner

I'll use my toner after cleansing my face. (wait for it to dry) Simply love the effect when toner is applied on. Gives me the feeling that my pores are working extremely hard HAHA.

I use this in the morning & at night.
Price: approx. $18
(I always wait for TBS to have 20% discount, if not original price is $22.90)

Moisturizer

Like what people says, the 3 basic steps to skincare is to cleanse, tone and moisturize. I treat this SHA hydrating Lotion as my moisturizer. Initially I got this sample from Hada Labo's FACEBOOK (they provide free sample for certain product) and I'm really in love with it. Love the texture of my face after I applied this lotion. HAHAHA YEA GO AHEAD AND LAUGH THAT I'M AN AUNTIE-TYPE. 'Cause I want to try the sample and finalise on my moisturizer decision mah!

Price: $20-$22.90
(I'm trying to hunt for cheaper ones & I found a shop named UNITY selling it for $20.90 only! I'm not sure if watsons have the same price as well...)

Smith's Rosebud Salve

I'm so glad that my sister gave this to me! It has many uses okay! Not just lip balm. The product states: "Rosebud Salve can be used as an all purpose skin preparation. Rosebud Salve aids in the relief of chapped skin, diaper rash, blemishes, detergent burns, and rough cuticles, and it softens rough hands." How can I not love this product? I have serious lip cracks since small.

I use this as and when I feel like it, before applying lipstick & before going to bed.
Price: $14
As seen @ Sephora
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Anti-blemish treatment Gel

Bascially, I call this "Pimple remover". Same logic as the moisturizer above, it belongs to my sister and I only use this as my last resort. She claims that this is SUPER EXPENSIVE, so I dont really dare to use it.

I use this before going to bed.
Price: ~$30-40?
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED but I think it would be considered expensive for such a small product

Pimple Treatment Cream

This is recommended by Clicknetwork Video "Tried and Tested". I love this video channel a lot! This cream works as well! Just that the efficiency rate is not high. I have to spam this cream for min 3days before I can see the result. Whereas for treatment Gel shown above, it takes only 1day. People on budget like me should choose this as an alternative, if you have the patience.

I use this before going to bed.
Price: $4.80-$5
Can be purchased at Watsons, Guardians etc

Eye Serum

Dont know whether to say this but... this eye serum was given to me by my sister few years back. Gosh, and I'm still using it. Hopefully there's no expiry date to it! This serum is to remove any dark circles blabla. It does work, but I dont apply it on a regular basis anymore, so the results arent obvious. I'm thinking of switching to Loreal Youth Code Eye Essence after this Olay white runs out I'm already using the Youth Code Eye Essence, and i'm still waiting for the results...

I use this before going to bed.
Price: $13-$16
Can be found at Watsons.

Face/Eye Mask

I think i've repeating these words "given by my sister" for n times. Really glad to have an elder sis, whenever she over-purchases, she'll ask me to help her use finish. HAHA IM SO LUCKY! I'm using these masks provided by my sis, F.O.C. Mask is essential to women's complexion.

I love to use mask RIGHT AFTER bathing!
Price: NIL

Hand cream

Last but not least, my hand cream by Crabtree & Evelyn (again) is sponsored by my sister. Her thinking is: Buy more, pay less. So she'll always buy extra and give me if she cant finish it. HAHAHA! Also, part of it depends on her mood as well.

I apply this right before I go to bed, cos I dont like to move about with the lotion-feel on my hands.
Price: NIL

That's all! Simple steps for skincare + body routine! I feel that the key is NOT TO BE LAZY.
Unfortunately, I AM A LAZY WOMAN. But i'm trying my best to upkeep this routine. All the best to you girls!
